I went to so many different bridal stores around Auckland in search of THE dress, many of the dresses I saw were so unoriginal and they all came with a whopping great price tag. I wasn’t exactly sure what I was after, but I knew I wanted something unique and something which didn’t cost the earth!  At the same time I was really conscious of the fact that even though I wanted something that was really inexpensive, I didn’t want my dress to look it!!!

I ended up turning to the internet, and I must have looked at (literally) thousands of wedding dresses until I came across a picture of a dress which I absolutely adored, it was different to anything I had ever seen before, it was classic yet modern and had little touches of detail here and there – the trouble was, how could I find this dress in Auckland?  Fortunately Angela (my sister) was just getting the business up and running, so I went to her with my dilemma and Bride Online came to my rescue! Ange was able to source the dress through their supplier and she gave me great advice on taking measurements and how the dress in the picture would translate to my body shape. The process was easy, we just took my measurements and then all I had to do was sit back and patiently wait. And boy, was it well worth the wait - when it arrived I was blown away by how similar it was to the picture and the high quality of the materials used. The hours that must have gone into the finer details was absolutely amazing – it was just beautiful!

I decided to tweak the dress when it arrived just to get the perfect fit and to personalise it a wee bit more – that’s where a good dressmaker comes in handy!

I would never hesitate to recommend Bride Online – and I did so on my wedding day, when everybody kept asking where I got my dress from, because they had never seen anything like it - I felt like a million dollars without having to spend a fortune!
