How do I know what style to buy if I can’t try it on?

Brides who have purchased their wedding gown from brideonline.co.nz have typically browsed through magazines and tried on different gowns to give them an idea of the style they feel most beautiful in. Your measurements are VERY important, so make sure you don’t rush and take the time to double check before placing your order. You can always refer to our online style guide to check for the styles most suited to your body shape.

How do I take my measurements?

At brideonline we recommend you contact a professional tailor or seamstress to have your measurements taken for better accuracy. However, if this is not possible ask a friend or relative to help you. Remember sizing is not an exact science and alterations made by a professional will often be necessary for a proper fit. Check out our measurement guide for more info on this critical process.

What is the definition of “hollow to hem”?

Hollow to hem is the frontal measurement from the bottom of your neck (the indentation between your collar bones) to the hem. When measuring, make sure you are wearing all of your undergarments, including any extra slips or crinoline. You should also be wearing shoes with a heel height similar to the ones you will wear with your wedding dress. We suggest adding on a few additional centimetres when submitting your order and having the dress taken up professionally to the perfect length.

How often does brideonline list new designs?

We are constantly researching and monitoring bridal trends, so you’ll find us continuously adding new gowns. Join our mailing list and you’ll be notified when new designs are listed.

What if I can’t find what I’m looking for?

Please feel free to email us at info@brideonline.co.nz and we’ll be happy to assist you on your quest. We’ll do our best to find you something as close as possible to your preferred design.

I have a question, how do I reach brideonline.co.nz?

Client satisfaction is our top priority. So please feel free to email our bridal specialists at info@brideonline.co.nz, specify your question(s) and if necessary what specific dress you have a question about. You’ll receive a response within 1-2 business days.

Can I make an appointment to try on a wedding dress?

Brideonline does not accept appointments since we do not have physical store (that’s why our prices are so low!) and all our dresses are custom-made to order.

Is it safe to order online?

Yes, because we use highly secure Paypal technology to ensure your payment information is kept safe.

So I’ve ordered and paid for my dress, now what?

You’ll receive a confirmation of your unique order by email. Meanwhile your preferences will be sent to our team of professional bridal-wear creators to begin the construction process. We recommend allowing up to 6 weeks for the creation and delivery of your dress (some, more intricate designs, may take slightly longer). However you’ll be notified once your dress has been shipped to you and you’ll be able to track its progress online using the unique tracking code provided. Please note: given the value of the dress, a signature will be required in order to receive your purchase.

How much will shipping cost?

We can courier your dress anywhere in New Zealand. Costs are: Auckland (excluding Waiheke Island) $5, North Island (including Waiheke Island) $12 and South Island $15).

What happens if my dress doesn’t fit when it arrives?

We always recommend a final fitting by a professional seamstress or tailor in order to create the perfect fit for your special day. Always make sure you select a professional who specialises in bridal wear and can provide references on request. A professional can usually alter a gown from a bigger size to a smaller size without compromising the style/design of the gown.

We also recommend having it steamed or dry cleaned prior to your big day - so that it looks absolutely perfect!

If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact us by email to sales@brideonline.co.nz. We will do our utmost to rectify any issues and ensure your complete satisfaction.
